Eddie Gonzalez

BIO
Eddie Gonzalez is a performer and educator from El Paso Texas. He is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches lessons and low brass methods. While in Oklahoma he has played with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet and the Tulsa Opera.
In 2018 Eddie was named a Finalist for the Mock Orchestral Tuba Audition at the Rafael Méndez Brass Institute. In 2023 he was named a Finalist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Fellowship and advanced to the semi final round for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra principal tuba position. He also was a semi-finalist for the Leonard Falcone International Tuba and Euphonium Solo Competition.
Prior to his time at Oklahoma State University, he received a Bachelor of Music Performance and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Texas. During his time at North Texas, Eddie was a semi-finalist for the UNT College of Music Concerto Competition and finalist for various mock orchestra/band auditions.
His primary instructors include Don Little, Matt Good, Jeff Baker and Ryan Robinson.
